When the UK’s largest advertising agency, Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, became the first to introduce a dedicated in-house post-production facility in 2005 there was definitely a big challenge ahead.
The LAB was set up to look after AMV BBDO clients and offer them creative and affordable post-production. The key reasons then are still what drives us now: creativity, speed, flexibility and cost-efficiency.
A core team of 23 talented individuals offer the same level of service that you would find in Soho. Our full time team of creative practitioners are supported by a production & technical team who ensure that our work retains the high quality that AMV BBDO expects.

So what makes us different from other in-house teams? Well for a start we’ve been doing it successfully for 6 years now. We know what works. We know what doesn’t. The LAB produces content across multiple platforms on live creative projects and we also work on initial test work and pitches. In fact, in 2010 we did around 50% of the Agency’s post-production. We work with and respect our post-production partners in Soho often collaborating with them on larger projects.
The hard work is starting to pay off and in 2011 the LAB is proud to be part of and credited on recent AMV BBDO campaigns that have won awards at Creative Circle, IAB and Revolution Awards and shortlisted at D&AD.
So as you can see we have certainly risen to the challenge.
